Terms & Conditions
The terms that govern our quotes, installations and services.
Last updated: July 2026
1. Parties
These terms are between Makse Electrical & Renewables (registered at Burton House Gardens, Stafford, ST17 9WD) and the customer instructing the works.
2. Quotes
Quotes are fixed and in writing, valid for 30 days from issue unless stated otherwise. Prices assume standard access and ground/roof conditions; genuine unforeseen variations will be discussed and priced in writing before proceeding.
3. Payment
Unless separately agreed, invoices are due within 7 days of completion. For larger installations (solar, battery), a deposit may be requested before ordering equipment.
4. Certification
All installations are carried out to BS 7671 (18th Edition) and where applicable MCS / NAPIT / OZEV / HIES standards. Relevant certificates and notifications (Part P, DNO, SEG, MCS) are issued on completion.
5. Guarantees
- 2-year workmanship guarantee on all installations.
- HIES insurance-backed guarantee on solar and battery installations.
- Manufacturer warranties passed through in full (typically 25–30 years panels, 10 years inverters/batteries).
6. Access & Safety
You must provide safe, reasonable access to the property and relevant areas. Where scaffolding or specialist access is required, this is included in the quote where identified in advance.
7. Cancellation
Consumers have 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you request work to begin during that period and later cancel, we may charge for work completed and materials ordered.
8. Liability
We hold £2 million public liability insurance. Our liability for indirect or consequential loss is excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Complaints
Any concern — email contact@makseelectrical.co.uk or call 07724 274691. We aim to acknowledge within 2 working days and resolve within 14 days.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
